About Newaygo County Pride

Newaygo County Pride is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering love, acceptance, and visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community within Newaygo County and surrounding areas. Founded by a group of passionate community members, our goal is to create a safe and affirming space for everyone; whether through our annual Pride Festival, educational outreach, or community partnerships. We believe that representation and celebration are powerful tools for connection and change. Each year, our Pride Festival brings together residents, local businesses, and allies for a day filled with love, music, art, and unity. It’s a space where people can show up exactly as they are, connect with resources, and feel celebrated for who they’ve always been. Our work extends beyond one day—we’re building visibility, encouraging dialogue, and showing that Newaygo County is a place where everyone belongs. 🌟

OUR MISSION

Our mission is dedicated to creating a safe, visible, and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals, families, and allies in our community. Through our annual Pride Festival and ongoing advocacy, we strive to foster acceptance, celebrate diversity, and promote education and understanding. Our mission is to build a community where everyone feels valued, supported, and free to be their authentic self.

Our vision

We envision a future where Newaygo County stands united in love, equality, and respect for all. A community where every person—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or expression—feels empowered, included, and celebrated. Our vision is a county that proudly embraces diversity and continues to grow in compassion, understanding, and pride.
